When you sign up for a lesson through our platform, you will be able to join a group of 2−4 students from around the world.
The lesson will begin with the instructor introducing themselves and teaching the lesson using the learning materials available for download at the end of the lesson.
You are encouraged to actively interact not only with the materials and the teacher, but also with other students during the lesson. At the end of the lesson, the teacher will summarise and ensure that all students have learnt the material.

To study with us, you need a minimum: a computer, a stable Internet signal and a free Zoom video conferencing tool.
If you would like to prepare for the exam in private lessons, this is certainly possible too. If you prefer this, please indicate on the form ‘individual/private session' and mention that you would like to prepare for the exam.
Content includes grammar, writing and oral expression, as well as reading and listening comprehension. Depending on specific needs or wishes, we can focus on a particular section, but in general it is a balanced mix of different language skills to be learned. Each lesson begins with a short exercise to review previous topics or to introduce a new theme, and focuses on discussing in the group. Frontal teaching is not the goal and written exercises are part of the curriculum but above all as preparation for the next lesson in the form of homework, in order to be able to take advantage of class time to practice orally in the target language.

Learning a new language is not supposed to be easy. Nor fun. However, this was not the case with the private lessons of French that I had with The Language Library. The course was constantly optimized towards my needs and after the end of each lesson I could notice the steady improvement of my knowledge in French.
On top of that, the interaction with Valérie during the course allowed me to appreciate the nice atmosphere and by the end of each lesson I was already looking forward for the next one.
